TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Here at Pass and Drive Glasgow we take customer satisfaction very seriously. By booking a course with us you confirm that you have read, understand and agree to the following terms and conditions. Please contact us before you book and pay for your course if you have any queries relating to these terms and if you do not agree to any part of these.

By booking a course with Pass and Drive Glasgow you agree that you have read, understood and agree to the following terms and conditions.

-"you" refers to the pupil who is the person named on the booking and taking the course

-"we" , "us" and "instructor" refer to the self-employed driving in instructor providing the course

-"The driving school", and "Pass and Drive Glasgow" refers to Pass and Drive Glasgow who allocate you to a self-employed subcontractor who is an approved DVSA Driving Instructor.

1. Each course is booked based on a set amount of driving tuition hours. These hours include the drive home at the end of your lesson to your agreed drop of location.
2. Not all driving courses include the test fee. If the test is included in the course fee it will be clearly displayed to you. Unless otherwise discussed or agreed in writing with the Driving School, the 20 hour course does not include the test. The test can however be added on for a fee of £175. This includes the test fee of £62, the two hours hire of the car on the day of the test for £90 (including one hours driving tuition directly prior to the driving test), plus the driving school fee for booking the test for you at £73. The 30 hour course and the 40 hour course do include the driving test. These two courses also include two hours hire of the driving instructors vehicle. One hour is for a lesson directly prior to the test, and the second hour is for the test itself. The driving instructor will also drop you off at your agreed location after sitting your test regardless of whether you pass your test or not.
3. If the test is included in the course fee, Pass and Drive will book this for you. Pass and Drive Glasgow will speak to you about your availability and book a test to suit. They have a dedicated team who are able to find short-notice driving tests. Quite often the waiting list to sit a test can be around 3 months. However, driving test cancellations happen all the time (a student might not feel ready for the test, or other unforeseen circumstances). As part of your course fee (where tests are included), Pass and Drive Glasgow use a sophisticated system that alerts us to these cancellations and we can then pass this on to you.
4. If you need to reschedule or cancel your test, you must notify Pass and Drive Glasgow in writing at least three clear working days before your test. This can be done by emailing info@passanddriveautomatic.co.uk. For example, if your test is on the Tuesday, you must notify us by the previous Wednesday. If your test is on the Friday, you must notify us by the previous Monday.
5. If you do not pass your test, you can book more lessons through your allocated instructor at a rate agreed with them. Pass and Drive can book your re-test for you for the £62 booking fee + our fee of £23, or you can choose to book this yourself.
6Third Party Recommendations: By clicking the check box on the booking form that says you agree to be contacted  by third parties, you are granting permission to Pass and Drive Glasgow to pass on your information to third parties who may contact you in future.
7. Please note: courses are not guaranteed to be delivered over one week. Most courses consist of 15 hours a week spread over 3 hours a day over 5 days. You should expect to do a maximum of 15 hours a week when booking your course. However, the exact details can be discussed and agreed with your allocated instructor who may be able to accommodate more. This is subject to instructor availability and recommendation.
8. Please note: No driving school can guarantee that you will pass your test. No refunds will be given if you fail your test.
9. Please note: If at the end of your course you do not feel ready to sit your test you can cancel or reschedule your test (if already booked) by giving us at least three clear days notice in writing. This is the standard notice and is not set by Pass and Drive Glasgow. No refunds for the test will be given if you lose your test due to insufficient notice given to the Driving School.
10. Please note: If at the end of your driving course your instructor does not feel you are ready to sit your test (for safety reasons), you will not be allowed to sit the test. You should discuss this as your course progresses if you already have your test booked as you will need to give sufficient notice to Pass and Drive Glasgow in order to not lose your test fee and to be able to re-schedule. Please see point 4 above.
11. 30 hour course: This course  is composed of 29 driving tuition hours (including the hour prior to the test) plus the 1 hour hire of the car for the test itself.
12. 40 hour course: This course is composed of 39 driving tuition hours (including the hour prior to the test) plus the 1 hour hire of the car for the test itself.
13. All driving pupils must pass the legally required eyesight test (20.5m or 67 ft) in order for the course to go ahead. This test is usually carried out by your instructor at the beginning of your course. If you fail the eyesight test, the course will be aborted until you have corrected your eyesight (obtained glasses for example). No refund will be provided for the hours lost. It is your responsibility to ensure you meet this criteria before attending your course.
14. Please note: The theory test is not included in any of our course fees. You can book your theory test easily online for the fee of £23. You do not need to have completed your theory test prior to starting your driving course. You must however, have passed your theory prior to booking and sitting your test. When booking a driving test it is a requirement to quote your Theory Test pass number.
15. Start dates and refunds: When contacting us we will agree on your course start date. The price of your course MUST be paid in full at least 7 days prior to your driving course start date. If you do not pay this in full with at least 7 days remaining before the start of your driving course, Pass and Drive Glasgow reserve the right to cancel your course with no refund of your deposit. If Pass and Drive Glasgow cancel your course for any reason, you are entitled to a full refund.
16. If your course is due to start within 7 days and you have any queries, please contact us to discuss these further with us.
17Cooling off period: You are entitled to change your mind and receive a full refund for 14 days after the day you make your booking. However, you are not entitled to a refund if your course start date is due to start during this 14 day period as lessons and tests will likely be booked within this period.
18. When taking an intensive/semi-intensive driving course, it is recommended for safety reasons that you take regular breaks. These can be agreed directly between yourself and your instructor. Every person learns at their own rate and your instructor will take breaks to accommodate your needs.
19. Your intensive driving course includes break times, the hire of the car for the test (if the test is included in your course) and the time driving you home (or to your agreed drop off location) at the end of your lessons and test.
 20. Pass and Drive Glasgow acts solely as a booking and administrative agent for driving instructors and driving schools registered with us, who teach intensive and semi-intensive driving courses in Glasgow and the surrounding areas, and who are DVSA approved. Pass and Drive Glasgow receives commission from successful bookings with an instructor or driving school.
21. Pass and Drive Glasgow provide all the necessary administration for the subcontracted driving instructors.
22. Please note: A practical driving test can not be booked until you have passed your theory. We will not be able to book your test until you have provided us with your theory pass number. Please provide us with this as soon as you can.
23. Please note: Practical driving test availability is set by the DVSA (Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency). Pass and drive Glasgow will make every effort to book a driving test local to the pupil. The driving instructor however, reserves the right to choose the test centre they deem to be most appropriate for the pupil. This will be discussed with the pupil prior to booking the test.
24. Please note: For courses where your driving test is included, we can not guarantee that a test will be available for the last day of your course. Your test may have to take place the following week. You can agree with your instructor, in this case, to save some hours and use them closer to your test date and on your test day. Please be aware you may want to book extra lessons with your instructor if necessary.
25. When booking an intensive/semi-intensive course through Pass and Drive Glasgow, you agree that the contract of the driving course is between the driving instructor and the pupil. Any disputes or claims should, therefore, be taken up with the driving instructor and not Pass and Drive Glasgow. Pass and Drive Glasgow can not be held responsible for any traffic violation on the part of the pupil or the instructor. Pass and Drive Glasgow acts as a booking agent and is paid commission from successful bookings.
26. When booking a course with Pass and Drive Glasgow, the deposit for the course is payable directly through our website. This deposit is not the full price of your driving course. The remaining balance is to be paid at least 7 days prior to the start date of your course through our website. If the full balance of the course is not paid in full at least 7 days prior to the start of your course, this may result in the immediate cancellation of your course and no refund will be given for your deposit. Your deposit covers the booking of your test (when included in your course), sourcing and booking your course with a local driving instructor, and the ongoing administration required and is in part commission for providing these services.
If you choose to pay the course fee in full through Pass and Drive Glasgow when booking your course, Pass and Drive Glasgow would only be acting as an intermediary and we will transfer the balance required to the instructor allocated to your booking.
27. If we are unable to allocate an instructor to deliver your course on the date you have requested, we will contact you to advise you of this and at this stage you are entitled to a full refund. We will automatically continue to find an instructor for the following week (or another date as close as possible to the date you have requested). We will contact you to see if this suits you.
28. In the unlikely circumstances that an instructor has to stop delivering your course (vehicle breakdown or other circumstances), you will be entitled to a refund of the outstanding lesson time and outstanding test fees (if applicable) if an alternative instructor can not be arranged. Lessons will be charged at the standard hourly rate of £45.
29. Pass and Drive Glasgow and your allocated driving instructor cannot be held liable for any losses resulting in course cancellation or test cancellation due to any of the following reasons: driving course or driving test cancellation due to bad weather, for example snow or ice, examiner illness, examiner strike, instructor illness, vehicle breakdown and sudden product recall on all vehicles. Where circumstances permit, your instructor will arrange an alternative date to finish your course.
30. Please wait to speak to your allocated instructor before booking time off work or making travel arrangements. Pass and Drive Glasgow and your instructor will not be liable for any losses incurred if you have not spoken to and agreed with your instructor specific dates and times.

YOUR COURSE
1. All driving courses booked through Pass and Drive Glasgow are undertaken with a DVSA registered, self-employed instructor. Courses are limited to one pupil per course.
2. Pass and Drive Glasgow can not make any guarantees for test availability. Your theory test is valid for 2 years. If a test can not be booked for the end of your course, an alternative date will be offered that suits both pupil and instructor. No refund of any money will be applicable in this case. If the DVSA cancels a test for any reason, neither Pass and Drive or your instructor can be held liable/responsible for the test fee or any other costs. Your may need to purchase additional driving lessons to retake the test.
3. Please note, if the instructor deems the pupil to not be at a level required to sit their driving test, then for the safety of the pupil, the examiner and the general public, the pupil will not be permitted to sit their test. Please discuss this with your instructor as your course progresses and ensure that, if your course is already booked, and your instructor decides you are not ready to sit your test, that you give Pass and Drive Glasgow at least 3 full working days notice in writing in order for us to reschedule your test. This means that if your test is booked for a Friday, you must notify us on the previous Monday. If your test is booked for a Tuesday, you must notify us on the Previous Wednesday.
4. All instructors allocated to Pupils by Pass and Drive Glasgow have been approved or licensed by the DVSA (Driving and Vehicle Standards Agency).
5. Instructors are responsible for providing the car for the driving course. The car will be comprehensively insured with a reputable insurer. The pupil can request to see this documentation. Pass and Drive can not be held responsible/liable for any insurance-related claims. Any disputes are the responsibility of the instructor. In the unlikely event of an accident, the instructor is liable to cover any insurance costs, unless the pupil has intentionally damaged the instructor's car, in which case, this will be at the discretion of the driving instructor.
6. All offers and course/lesson prices are subject to change without notice and are at the discretion of Pass and Drive Glasgow.
7. If a pupil has paid the course fee in full but does not finish the course, the outstanding lessons will be valid for 1 month. After this time, no refund will be given, including any test fees. No reimbursement of fees will be granted.
